The Newest Member to Our Family, Meet Finnegan

Meet Finn. Our 1 (ish) year old basset hound.

It was love at first sight.

Finnegan \f(i)-nne-gan\ as a boy's name is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Finnegan is "fair". James Joyce's last novel was "Fineegan's Wake".

There is just something about rescue dogs....

Thank you Homeward Bound!

Very cute - can't wait to meet him tomorrow. How are the cats handling him?

A Mary I am in love too :) He is very sweet. Cats were introduced last night, they are still leary but he wouldn't hurt a fly, so we will be fine :)

I just showed Keenan the post. He says Finn needs to come and play with him in our yard. Finn's grandfather and grandmother need to come from Milwaukee and join the fun too! Can you believe it's 4 months ago today that my kidney found its new home - WOW!

I agree it would be great to get the pups together to play.

We are making the trip next weekend to introduce Finn to my parents.

Wow can't believe it has been 4 months - how time flies, sometimes.

He looks perfect. I can already agree that you couldn't help but laugh or smile when looking at him. Will Finn make the trip to IC for Christmas?

Andrew not sure he would do well in the garage... we will have to play it by ear. Hope we can make a visit soon to meet our newest niece, she is just a beautiful baby!
