This past weekend we made the short trip to La Grange, IL, a Chicago suburb to support a blood drive in memory of my cousin who died in December of Ewing's Sarcoma. She would have turned 19 on Friday.
It was a great success...
186 DONORS
195 UNITS
and a great way to celebrate life!

Donating blood is such an easy thing to do, and is a great way to give back to those in need.
My mom began donating at the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin in January of 1986 ~ 24 years ago! She has donated faithfully, and to this date has donated 93 pints!

Tony and I are waiting to donate. My dad did a great job of entertaining us during the duration of the wait.

Great post!
This is an awesome post Colleen! My mom needed several blood transfusions before she passed. She was a faithful donor as well. I have become as well. Headed to the blood bank next Saturday!
