This past week Tony and I made a trip to Sun Lakes, AZ to visit Duane and Kathy. Since retirement they now spend much of the winter in AZ enjoying the warmer temps.
They have a beautiful house and yard filled with many different plants local to AZ. There is also a wonderful lemon tree. Here are a few pics.
These lemon leaves smell just as fragrant as a lemon. Beautiful lush, and green.
The lemons start out as these white buds.
Then become what look like mini limes.
And then end up as this... We came home with a large bag of fresh lemons from this tree, and a wonderful recipe for a lemon dessert, a family recipe of Duane's sister. Can't wait to try it.We had a wonderful time grabbing dinner, chatting and relaxing by the pool.
