Arizona - Montezuma Castle

We made a quick stop along the way to Montezuma's Castle, which is one of the first national monuments built by an ancient Indian Tribe about 700 year ago. This could be considered a "prehistoric high rise apartment complex".

Wrapped around this area are Arizona Sycamore trees. They most resembled a birch tree, but have a lot more dimension in the bark.

And of course a snack before our next destination. Fry bread. Fry bread is a Native American food, and tasted much like an elephant ear, or funnel cake.

We had our bread with honey and sugar. Mmmm
