Each day they would serve warm chocolate chip cookies!

On the land they planted many different varieties of apple trees - including honeycrips, no sweet tango's yet...

The room was also equipped with a soaker, clawfoot tub!

We made a day trip to Edwards Orchard to walk through the apple orchard and pumpkin patches, and to enjoy a cider donut! Yum.

These mums were also for sale and were grown right on site, they smelled great.

Most of our time was spent at the B and B enjoying the 130 acres of trails, orchards and all the amenities but, for dinner we headed to Rockford, Il which was about 35 minutes away, and ate at the Social.
www.social509.com. This restaurant features food and meats from local farmers. They have many small plates to choose from - the chef serves the meal and tells you about the ingredients. This resturant is also different because it is communal eating, they seat you with other people at the restaurant so you can spark up conversation.
And lastly, what would be a trip without an animal sighting, Tony was surprised to hear I had never seen a wild turkey, holy cow they sure are intimidating creatures! These were in the middle of the road on our way home.

We had wonderful time, but were happy to head back to the city!
